Luxury

What you have sir
it's luxury
You might not think so,
but
look, compared to me
- and I don't believe all they say
'bout equality -
everything you got there
yes, it's luxury.

Man, everything you say
you've been blessed by the fact
that the words that you use
they don't stab your own back
- what that would mean
for a person like me! -
everything you got
hey it's LUXURY

Could I sample some food and call it 'exotic'?
See a 'dark' lady and call her erotic?
Could I touch someone's hair and laugh at the feel?
Could I question your pain and doubt that it's real?

Could I go to shop and buy 'flesh-coloured tights'?
Just what do I do with free products - for whites?
Why does 'tribe' not apply to your 'ethnic group'?
It's the difference between your walk and our stoop.

What you have sir
it is luxury

just take it from me
the things that you say
are the things you can see
and all that you see
it is luxury.
